While anyone can take a drone out the box and fly it, the use of drones is governed by the FAA and the State of North Carolina (NCDOT). These rules are in place to ensure both safety & privacy and failure to follow them can result in harsh penalites for not just the drone pilot, but also for the business who hires them!

Since drones operate in the same commercial airspace as civilian and military air traffic it is important that you work with an operator who is properly licensed and understands airspace regulations.
While the FAA has exclusive authority over the airspace used by drones, the NCDOT has authority to manage state laws concerning drone operations. Cygnus Aerial Solutions is permitted by the NCDOT to lawfully conduct commercial drone operations!
